- Training Programme on IWRM

The IWRM training programme (In Sweden, August 6–28, 2007 and in LAO PDR, November 19–30, 2007) aims is to support and stimulate the development of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in the participants’ home countries, and to encourage the participants to involve in and contribute to networking on IWRM. Last application date: April 4, 2007.

- International Training Programme in Ecological Sanitation

This advanced, international training programme in ecological sanitation focuses on attractive sanitation solutions for urban and peri-urban areas to promote human health, enhance human dignity, improve nutritional status and protect water sources. It will be focused towards professionals in selected countries in Asia, Africa and EECCA engaged in town planning, water supply, waste management, hygiene, and socio-economic development, researchers and teachers/trainers in fields related to sustainable sanitation, and key persons engaged in NGOs with projects associated with community development for improved sanitation and water supply. Costs are covered by Sida. The deadline for applications is 1 April 2007.
- 5th World Water Forum in 2009

The 5th World Water Forum will be held in Istanbul,Turkey from 15 to 22 March 2009. About 15,000 people from 150 countries are expected to attend the 5th Forum to discuss issues and solutions regarding water in the world. The World Water Forum, which is organized by the WWC every three years in collaboration with the authorities of the host country, is the largest international event in the field of water. The 4th World Water Forum was held in Mexico in March 2006.
